What is BAH?

BAH is compensation for housing costs to a military member based on
geographic duty location, pay grade, and dependency status. The
intent of BAH is to provide uniformed service members accurate and equitable
housing compensation based on housing costs in local civilian housing
markets, and is payable when government quarters are not provided.
Misuse of BAH occurs when a military member improperly
receives housing compensation when he/she is not entitled to it based on
current status, i.e., married, single, location, etc.
Junior
